On March 7, 2019, the Executive Committee of the UC Berkeley Foundation and UC Berkeley’s Board of Visitors came together with UCSF’s Board of Overseers for the first joint meeting at UCSF Medical Center in Mission Bay. This milestone meeting featured faculty presenters from two collaborative research areas between the campuses – the Innovative Genomics Institute and the Center for Neural Engineering & Prostheses. The meeting provided an opportunity for the executive vice chancellors and provosts from both campuses to lead a discussion around not only the benefits already realized through cross-campus collaborations, but some of the challenges and opportunities they present.
