FAQs regarding divestment inquiries:
1) What We Hold:  We invest in commingled funds provided by professional asset managers who maintain sole discretion over the holdings in the funds. We generally do not hold any individual stocks in our investment portfolio.
2) Source of Funds: Student tuition dollars are not invested in the Foundation’s endowment. Individuals establish endowments to provide permanent funding for designated purposes, such as student scholarships, fellowships, endowed chairs, professorships, specific programs, and research. Through a binding gift agreement, we ensure these campus initiatives are supported in perpetuity, regardless of budgetary constraints. As fiduciaries, we are prohibited from using endowed assets for political activities.
3) Decision Basis:  Any decision to divest must meet our divestment policy criteria established by the Foundation and its ESG Committee, available here.
