Campaign Volunteer Summit 2021

Volunteers from the UC Berkeley Foundation, National Campaign Steering Committee, Board of Visitors, CAA Leadership, Regional Chancellor’s Councils, and School & College Advisory Boards gathered on April 16 for the second online Volunteer Summit.

Charles Huang ’93, Campaign Co-Chair and Foundation Board Vice Chair, emceed the event. The program included updates from Chancellor Carol Christ and Vice Chancellor Julie Hooper about the campaign, its impact, and key initiatives and priorities. Trustee Laura Wen-yu Young ’84, J.D. ’87, P ’04, and Trustee Laura Perloff each moderated discussions with Berkeley leaders about areas of innovation. And, Fred Blackwell M.C.P. ’96, CEO, San Francisco Foundation, moderated a discussion with Berkeley students Katrina Bullock ’22 and Wesley Veiga ’24, who shared their personal insights about Diversity, Equity, Inclusion, and Belonging at Berkeley, and Takiyah Jackson, Director of the African American Student Development Office.
